Free - Castrol 6-hour jigsaw puzzle

I picked this up from the local Salvation Army shop with a stack of kids books and thought someone on here might want it.

It's got 100 pieces, so it's probably too advanced for any of you lot, but you might like to look at the picture.

I don't know who the rider is, but figured someone on here might (the puzzle is made in NZ, but photo could be from one of the Australian races?)

Just flick me a PM if you want it and I'll send it to you.

Excellent - send me address details and I'll pop it in the post tomorrow.

The back of the puzzle shows it was one of a series of 4, probably sponsored by Castrol. 2 of them were motocross, but there was another 6-hour puzzle with Rod Harris on his RD350.

Nope, close but no cigar - right era, right race but the rider is Stephen Gall

Scotty rode the RZ500 with Mike Dowson as co-rider that year (1983, first year of the 1000cc capacity cap).

    Nice score on the jigsaw

That will explain why he has 'Steve' on his leathers

Correction (and apologies to jellywrestler who was closer than initially thought!) - I got ahead of myself on the years there, Scott/Dowson rode the RZ500 in '84. Richard Scott was in fact Stephen Gall's team mate on this particular XJ900 as per attached entry list (my excuse it was 32 years ago!!)
    All other details are correct.

144 pieces? easy enough, even for a motorbike fan.
