    Honda NSR250

The old NSR is up for sale.

    It's a 1987 MC16 with a 1989 MC18 motor and electrics (PGMII and HRC derestrictor).

This is my unfinished project so a lot has been done, but there is a bit more to do.

    What has been done:
    - Fully stripped the bike down and refinished frame and swingarm in a satin polish.
    - Top end rebuild.
    - New outer crank seals.
    - New wheel bearings, swingarm bearings, and steering head bearings.
    - Front forks tidied up and new seals fitted.
    - Rebuilt calipers front and rear.
    - New front brake rotors.
    - Braided lines.
    - New chain
    - Tyga rearsets.
    - Aftermarket expansion chambers (not sure what make, possibly home made for racing) they are pretty noisy.
    - Wheels painted.
    - Just installed new iridium plugs a couple of weeks ago.

Would say I have done around 1000-1200 km since this work was done.

Comes with a selection of spare parts pictured.
    - MC18 wheels, swingarm, calipers, shock, rearsets, radiator...
    - Complete set of genuine Koyo main bearings
    - Assorted jets

Rego is on hold, WOF expired a couple of months ago. Could get a new one if needed.

There are a couple of issues with the bike.
    - One is the bodywork which is in a poor state.
    - It can be difficult to start when cold - never managed to figure out the issue.
    - Tuning is not quite right, or maybe it is an issue related to the hard starting.

Otherwise she idles beautifully and revs out freely. This is a ridable bike but does need some work.

    Could be interested in swaps...

would you be interested in a bmw k1100? ex police bike?

Bike is reliable and pretty awesome. Needs a LH fork seal replacement, and needs the front mastercylinder piston replaced (i have this ready to go)?
Then I could get a Kb Tshirt, move to Timaru and become a full time crossdressing faggot

No thanks, sounds a bit on a the big and heavy side. If it was an R bike I would.

    Interested

I'm moving back to NZ in February, and will be looking for something light and fast.
I can do some of the work once i start buying tools and if you say it's rideable then i would be looking at a test ride and straight away a purchase if the test ride is okay.

    2k is fine for me.
