    Jatz mate
you have the ball..you are go for launch..
i think a madman mission just to take a photo, is well worthy, of a gold plated slab of beer.
you could just tag the whole south island, and dump it at the ferry..

    ON YA MATE.

    ......ride like the wind mate...
    plus 100
    wot he said!

Where I drop it depends on how much interest is shown between now and when I post my tag........
Could be Dunners or Christchurch or Westport maybe even at the ferrry, I'd hate for it ot get stuck again.
And it better not get stuck in the Norf Isl. either, I only go there for weddings and funerals
Interest shown. Drop it between the mighty river town and robbies statue and I will pick it up and carry it another 100 k or so. I know we have been slow to pick this one up but I think the point of PTT is to get people out on their bikes for more than the weekday commute so whilst I am in awe of your road trip from motueka to the Bluff and back I would be disappointed if the tag flew past on SH 1 without showing a few good photos of my region. (and yes I know I have had a month to pick it up frm the railway station (which I pass daily) and carry it all of 3 k to work but I don't think that would have been helpful.
They called it paradise, I don't know why.
Call someplace paradise, kiss it goodbye.

This is starting in Bluff by god. GPS track logged, day off work sorted, Bike fuelled and ready.........

    Only 2255 k's to go

I would be sooooo pissed if I got home to find it already tagged somewhere else
Race ya! You have an island head start though so don't go too fast. haha

    Good form mate.

So we picked up the Raes Junction tag and actually have to Monstaman for getting us on those roads this morning.
Haven't done the Alexander to Rae's Junction roads before, it's absolutely superb.
I found it a bit hard to apply enough attention to the road at times while being distracted by the views and interesting old cob cottages and ruins scattered about the place. We'll be back there when we have more time for a better explore.
Even without the views it's a great road fully of nice sweeping bends.
Note, you can't buy food at Rae's Junction Hotel, it's permanently closed on account of it now being a private residence. Lucky we ate at Alex.

Then we went to, wait for it.... Bluff like you didn't already know the plan
Seems at Bluff there's a lot of people trying to get their photo taken with a certain sign.

I got home an hour ago.
JATZ and Mrs JATZ with the next stage on their camera are hold up in Oamaru for the night from what I hear.
