    The Capital 1,000km Cruise

    The Capital 1000K Cruise
    Saturday 07 November

    Flyer here: http://www.ulysses.org.nz/wellington/images/C1KC.pdf

Departs: 0700 am, Caltex Rimutaka, Upper Hutt.
    Meet before for briefing etc.

This is an informal ride for those North Islanders that would like to do the Southern 1000km Longest Day Endurance Ride, but can’t afford to pay The Ferryman.

    Route is ≈1,030kms via:
    Rimutakas – Masterton – Ashhurst – Colyton – Feilding - Halcombe (192K)
    Turakina - Wanganui – National Park - Taumaranui (222K)
Te Kuiti – Otorohanga – Te Kawa – Whakamaru (209K)
    Kuratau Junction – Turangi – Taihape (180K)
Bulls – Petone Workingmens Club Petone (229K)
Refreshments & Meals available at PWMC to enjoy over the trading of lies.

As an informal ride, you and your bike are your responsibility to ensure both are capable of completing the course.
There is no recovery vehicle organised.
A register of riders will be kept to ensure everyone returns.
There are Spot Prizes and Certificates.
Badges can be purchased with proceeds to the Muscular Dystrophy Assoc.
It is not a race and should be easily doable at a sedate pace with stops…enjoy the ride.

The ride will go ahead rain, hail or shine….probably....or pending the Wed/Thurs forcast.

Enquiries & Registrations – PM or email me or register on the calendar: http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/ca...=2009-11-7&c=1
