I'm from KB - so I'm entitled to speed wherever the fuck I want coz it's never ever my fault no matter what happens.

    Define your definition of speeding!

    If you mean driving dangerously....NEVER!

If you mean driving too fast for my (and my bikes) capabilities, seldom but often on the edge!

If you mean exceeding the meaningless designated mandatory speed "limit"......Hmmmmm!

New Zealand road law does not respect the average motorist, so why should the authorities expect the average motorists to respect their dumb laws!

Interesting that "Backroads" is scoring higher than "Motorway". Could that be that because there is more traffic on the motorway we consider it less safe? Or is it because there is more police...?

May the bridges I burn light the way.

I pretty much don't speed on the motorway at all because of the relatively heavy policing. Pretty much every morning on the way to work I see at least one pulled over on the side of the southern motorway.

While what you say is correct, there has been no indication in the thread of what is considered 'speed'?
I said earlier that 110 is over the legal limit so effectively 110 is speeding.
Those that have needlessly voted so far possibly have done so thinking that speeding (in their own mind) is what?? quicker that 100?
More than likely, those that ride bikes (sept those that have to walk or be driven) ride quicker than 100 where possible, and yes gosh darn it, even on the Motorway. The poll is flawed.

Maybe in the backroads I'll do 20 over on the straights in a sustained manner. One or two roads locally that scream 'Faster!' for a few seconds.
Some people just can't seem to comprehend that they do not have the right to be unoffended in their lives.

That's BS and you know it. If you need everything spelled out to you so you understand it, then here:

PLEASE NOTE: IN THIS POLL SPEEDING MEANS WHEN YOU GO FASTER THEN THE SPEEDLIMIT FOR THAT PARTICULAR ROAD/STREET/BEACH WHATEVER

And for the Maha's of this world: We are here talking about legal limits. Not some "I know better" bikers opinion re what is safe on a particular road or street.

But the rest of us already knew that.

May the bridges I burn light the way.
