Blah The Blue Lovely gets a name change!

You know, I have been to hell and back with that blue bike of mine! No end of work, and no end of support to do that work. She runs like a dream at last! I have her sussed! We are all good to go

So today, the biggest, new blue lovely debut, most important day for me and that bike of mine to perform and she wont start! NO WAY! Not a chance! But nothing would convince her to fire up! I flooded her That cleared, we attempted 3 crash starts, she is not interested at all! Eventually we flatten her battery. I said a short word over and over and over! Then I had tears! How dare this blue thing do this to me?

This is the only ever in my ownership of this Blue bike that she has NEVER started. Despite all the crap I have had with her, she is a starter! Hence her name really. Not today.

I did the ride today, Maha pillioned me to the start, but, I could not do the whole ride, I had media/speaker/Heart Children people to meet and liase with at the museum. I had to thumb a lift from someone that was prepared to forgo the ride for me. I found the perfect gentle man.

So the ride is over, we are home, it went well. I have emptied a bottle of wine and went downstairs to put it in the recycle bin. I walked up to that blue bike, turned the key and hit the starter. You will never guess what happened! Fired into full glory! No worries at all! Right up there, revs up to what may or may not be red line, no problem.

Forever more, she will now be called the Blue Bitch!

Anyone else got a story like this?

My bike (after many months of unconditional reliability) decided not to start after I had filled out all the forms etc and was ready to do my restricted practical test. Must have taken 10 minutes I reckon to fire it in to life. It got me so flustered I rode off - AA chap behind me - without my helmet done up...

Bugger, eh? And after all you've done for the old girl. Gratitude? Not likely.
Glad you didn't let it upset your day tho. You done good from what I can see.
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

Could see that coming but still laughed out loud when I read it.

It is only because to day was important to you. Otherwise she would have burst into life first poke of the starter.
