    Knee braces...

Hi just wondering what ones to get. Weather I spend aheap or buy a cheaper pair. Do the cheaper ones still do the same? Pods seem to be my first choice with the evs one up their two... But what about this cheaper EVS?

    http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Mo...-254081680.htm
Is it any good? Or am I best to spend the extra?

Mate I'm gutted I didnt have proper braces. I ruptured my ACL and medial ligament, really regret not having quality braces.

After I did it I went out and bought PODMX's for when I start racing again.

Dont go with the cheap ones, get quality ones that are designed to protect you're knee etc. Chris birchs PODMX's have lasted countless races, all the romaniacs/erzberg.. everything.

I got a pair on trademe for $600, only worn twice lol.

I have Asterisk Knee Braces that i got for a good price on Trade Me......i've had them 2 years and although they took a bit to get used to i wouldn't ride without them now....when i had the crash that broke my collarbone i also tweeked my knee enough to cause a bit of pain(it's come right now)....if i wasn't wearing them i reckon i'd be in Vazza's camp and trying to get over two injuries.....so i'm a fan of them also.So i agree with Vazza, just keep trolling Trade Me

Mate if you don't want to go the $4-500 per leg for the braces I use these http://www.mrmotorcycles.co.nz/produ...oducts_id=1909. Bloody good hard knee protection under that center piece, quite supportive, good for comfort and riding.
Is above a knee guard not a real brace but the Closest thing to a knee brace with spending the big bucks.

    Just a thought!
On a Motorcycle you're penetrating distance, right along with the machine!! In a car you're just a spectator, the windshields like a TV!!

There shouldn't be anything behind the knee itsself?
I wear those Fox riding shorts and the velcro strap on the top of the evs does up around my upper thigh over them so quite good. Wear them for hours on end.
But if you don't like them that's cool was just another avenue for you!

    Cheers

I went for the older version of these http://www.sixsixone.com/Catalog_661...c-bda9c099ac7f
a toss up which is better, though I wear those elastic knee bandages as well.

Though Vazza & a mate up here convinced me to go knee brace, just got to save up a bit .

+1 on the pods. I got the old version of the PODMX. They were having a runout sale now that the new version is out for $950 for a pair. They do wear out your pants and tank/shrouds quicker though.
