I will be trying my hardest to get there, more to do with funds than getting a day off uni!!
just tell em you have arrangements made for this day when you start.....Yeah I know, but I am looking at changing jobs in the new year..... Sounds like I might have got it, but they aren't in a hurry and making their decision after Christmas............. so doubt I could do it. Esp since I need to give a months notice where I am, so won't start with them until Feb at the earliest.
But hey, I haven't ruled it out altogether yet. Really want to do it on the GSXR too
