For the trip home you can either make your own way or tag on with me as I will be doing some fun roads and trying to keep away from highways.
If you want to go to Lyon over the weekend you might not make it..
Something went wrong in your link spokes.
So the guys that are coming on Sunday, this may be the longest you have ridden in one day. So a few tips.
Ride your own ride. If the group is traveling outside your comfort zone, back off. You learn the most traveling at 75% of your limit. Nobody on this ride will give you grief for being to slow.
At stops, get off your bike and walk around a bit if you have time.
Remember to drink water when you can. Not gallons, just enough to stop dehydration.
If your cold and getting colder stop. Put on warmer gear or ask someone for help.
Keep an eye on your fuel. Ride distance will be approximately 260ks. There will be opportunities to refuel.
It is compulsory to have fun.![]()
Any questions, feel free to ask.
Little update, times ive said are leaving times so please turn up 10 mins before. We wont have time to fuel up, have a coffee/ciggy etc at meet points.
As said before we will top up at Waimauku 5 ks from the start of the main ride.
Bring gear for all weather conditions as we may get some rain and cold en-route.
Bike was a little reluctant to wake up this morning but I'm in!
See you there, with my heated hand grips![]()
