check out the ground about your place, builders notorious at chucking shit into vacant land, could have caused your problem.

a 10mm hole throu the inside, thats some serious stuff, esp in the centre.
hate to see size of nail.

glad you were able to make it

Not our builder. He's tidy as. Can't say the same for the roofers. But I know exactly when I picked it up on the viaduct - right on the white bumpy line between middle and fast northbound lanes near the north end. Pretty much left it in the same place - about 20 m on, right in the middle of the lane - ready for some other poor sap to pick up.

I may not be there next week. I have a week off work. I have a few plans, one of which is relaxing a bit. Which Im bad at but need it badly.

relaxing is doing what you most like.
sometimes its more tiring than normal work week.

have you organised it to line up with IOM?

might be able to get CBR mostly dun and dusted.

doing that would be work but satisfying and a break to boot.

Eldog is partly right. But I have a brand new left hand one.

Have you tried Rodger at Action motorcycle wreckers in takapuna? Im sure he would have one.

Depending on the shop they will likely trot out excuses about it was how you treated your gear.
When that has happened to me in the past I just calmly state something to the effect: The consumer guarantees act says all goods shall be fit for purpose for a reasonable period. I expect quality gear to last 2-5 years. This is after all safety gear, so it should be up to daily use.

I don't recall ever finishing that mouthful. I think the furthest I got was quality. Even when the gear in question was outside manufacturers warrantee, or a shops posted guarantee.
The act doesn't stipulate timeframes. Just what is reasonable given the discussions with sales staff. Especially where there was expression of intent. Intent is somewhat implied in that if you buy a motorcycle jacket you will wear it on a motorcycle and if it is an all season it will get worn year round in any weather. But you can also ask if it is suitable for certain used. E.g if you ask if it is suitable for adventure riding, they say yes and your sweat discolours the jacket you would have a claim.
