    I've been pretty happy with the last two sets of PR2's although I do notice that the front gets pretty scalloped pretty fast - like way before the rear is ready to retire.

    Maybe next time round, I oughta try these noo fandangled conti heart attack 2's...
    They're being fitted next week, so I'll let you know what I think. they've said they should last the distance the PR2s give, so the test will be on

    Have seen 8000km from mine on the bandit since I've had it with many more to come I bloody hope,never failed yet,and has been on a lean occasionally.Mind you riding styles have a detrimental effect on mileage of brakes,tyres etc as well,a smooth type will say he gets xyz miles,another rider who brakes on the bends,and zooms along the straights will say mine lasted xyz miles,is a personal choice in the end,likewise with anything bike related.

    I've chopped out tyres in half life in Buller/ Westland and Central Otago, but oh the grip on those roads.

    You can test them at Taupo track day on March 13th, only $50 for the day,
    round 3 of the BRM summer series the day after too

    Funny you should say that.....

    Balzybuell will be there....The tires he has on are Pirelli Rosso 's, The back one has seen almost 8000ks, This includes 3 track days and riding in between, Now anyone who knows us knows were normally 2 up and Balzy has many different riding styles depending on mood & conditions, He will also get the Taupo track day out of it but we will be looking at a new one after that,

    Balzy's pretty impressed with that

    As if that makes any difference. Your weight combined with Balzy's would be lucky to equal half of most of the posters on this thread!

    I've had 3 sets of Conti Sport Attacks now and get an average of 12k-14k a set. But I will be interested in trying the conti road attack to compare mileage.

    This is their latest product on the market - its a Conti Attack 2. Put on bike 2 days ago, but haven't had a chance yet to take it out.

    You could also test them at the Manfeild trackday on April 26.

    Not really when I start my new job on Monday, and plan to have a weeks holiday by October, so will be pushing my luck before any holidays are due

    can I put my spoke in?????? please???

    Just checking my database for a new tyre cause I dont use new tyres much. Go the second hand way most of the time

    PR2 8500km
    pilot sport 6600km

    I think 7500 is low yes. but not really low. over 15000 is insane I dont know how you do it!

    oh. another variable I like to keep track of is actualy cost.

    pr2 = 4 cents per k
    ps= 5 cents per k

    will be very interested in the contis

    My front looks mint - maybe you are running the front tyre pressure a bit low? Or just ride a lot harder than me!
