    Honda CBR 600RR race bike

I have lowered the selling price to $5,700 and will include nearly new wets with the spare rims.
Financial circumstances have conspired to have me putting my race-bike up for sale. It is best described as a rough diamond. I last raced this in October in the VMCC Winter Series when I highsided and busted my shoulder. I took it for a couple of sessions in February on the PMCC track day. It was running great. The race fairings need some tlc on both sides as seen in the photo's and if the purchaser isn't handy with fibreglass and spraypaint, Crazefox is always negotiable. What isn't so easy to see in the photo's are cracks along both sides of the seat unit that will need glassing. The fairings are 2005 shape.
    The good stuff?
2003 frame and running gear with a 2005 engine running a power commander, full Arrow stainless exhaust and K&N filter. I've had this bike for 12 months and it has run faultlessly. The engine is strong and revs well. I also have an HRC race ECU (38770-NL3-900) which I haven't fitted as it would mean remapping the power commander. The plan was to get this installed when I got Mr Osbourne to 450 the bike. I loved racing a 600 too much though.
Ohlins rear shock and Racetech (or similar) fork internals, last serviced by Dukic Performance approx 10 months ago.
    Hyperpro steering damper.
    Grippy stuff on the tank.
    Rear stand.
Tires on it are in good nick.
    Rapid Art rearsets.
    Spare rims with discs.
A whole bunch of extra sprockets to change final gearing for different tracks.
Brand new yet to be installed, EBC HH Race Formula front brake pads. Hideously expensive.
Miscelaneous stuff: The original shock, spare dash (broken mounts though), spare right and left engine covers (good to have). Spare stator. Complete new swingarm (unused) and other odd stuff like injectors, wiring loom, spare valve or clutch springs etc.
    Not so good stuff?
I've crashed it a bit trying to save money on tires so the rear-sets are scuffed. The current dash also has some broken mounts but is held on securely with lockwire. The fuel tank lock key has snapped off in the lock but as it is still in there it can be opened with the key stub. There is a knack to starting it, the HISS key has to be alongside the ignition barrel. Easy once you know. Admittedly it's getting on a bit but even a Muppet like me was down to 1:16s around Manfeild.
There you have it. If it doesn't ring your bells as a 600 track bike to get into supersport cheaply, get it turned into a 450. Would be reasonably competitive in F3.
If it doesn't sell here in the next wee while it will be appearing on tardme, exposing me to the muppetness that breeds there.

$6k should about cover it mate. I'd be happy for you to use it man if it weren't on the market. It's ruff enough as it is.

It has quite a bit of potential in F3 I reckon. Nice neutral handling and he rode it with a worn rear tire.

    .
That would give ya a good deposit on my bike clive
A girlfriend once asked " Why is it you seem to prefer to race, than spend time with me ?"
The answer was simple ! "I'll prolly get bored with racing too, once i've nailed it !"

    Bowls can wait !

I wasn't knocking it mate. It was just the co-incidence of us talking about it at Paeroa and now it's suddenly up for sale.

Mate!!!What are you thinking??You NEVER sell the toys.
Step 1.Get the wife a cleaning job (or 2 if possible)

Step 2.Get the kids a paper round each (once again,Or 2 if possible)

Step 3.Take particular notice that this step can only be used once(maybe twice if you speak Mexican)Sell the bastards!1 wife and 2.5 kids= around $15000.00 on the American black market.Surely that will get you through the Actrix series ???

$5000.00 in Borboun to Crazefox,$5000.00 for entry fees and tyres etc and $5000.00 for???????????Oh yeah,ME for saving your life,Bwahahahahaha

But seriously,Sorry too see you sell the pride and joy,I know how enthusiastic you are about racing,Still you can always make a return when youre say Mmmmmmmm around Mmmmmmmm 55,Good luck with the sale,You forgot too mention its the Ex Shaun Harris championship winning bike from 03

Geeze Bill. Thanks for thinking of me. I will come see you in 12 months. I saw you riding something a little more relaxed the weekend of the NZV8s.

Sound advice Billy and thanks for the smile. I wont be too worried if it doesn't go, and if it does I will be shopping again in 12 months. I do like to go round and round scaring myself.

Cheers man. I'm not really doing myself any favours trying to sell it when it is so ruff cosmetically, but apart from that it has all the bits you need to go racing. It did haul a fat Scot around the track 1/100th of a second faster than me. I really don't mind if it doesn't sell. I will eventually get my fibreglassing lessons off Crazefox, tidy it up, and then we can commence battle on the 450s'.

Sad to see you’re having to sell it, Clive. It really is a very decent, fast, easy to ride bike, and becomes very competitive in the wet!

No its not a good bike its a total pile of cack fit only for the dump. So you must therefore keep it so we can 450 race together.

Bloody good bike clive --dont sell it
A freind has your back even when he's pissed at you
