Wow did you drop your bike Spiked Punch? Glad I wasn't the only one! This year I know what to do, how to lift the bike up and drain the water out, put a new plug in. As L Rider said there's a goo you can put in the tube which seals small holes as they occur. I noticed a flat one day at the MX track on my CR, was going to call it a day but remembered I'd put the goo in my tube and tried pumping it up. Sure enough the goo sealed it and the bike still has the same tube to this day although i've changed tires numerous times. I've never been a fan of the pando's as they often make a mess and I haven't seen many success's with them. Pain to carry aswell......This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. As far as actual repairs go I just use a bicycle tire repair kit as found at the local servo..... make sure you let the glue dry before putting the patch on and push it on hard and let it set before inflating. Also don't inflate much until the tube is in the tire. You can get bigger patchs if considered necessary from any friendly car tire shop for a small fee.
On rides like this I normally just run my tires super hard, rather be safe from punctures in the middle of nowhere than have that extra little bit of traction.

i dont know if anyone has actually thought about this- but a flat tyre on a mx bike isnt the end of the world, keeps riding it back to wherever you need to go. just go gently on rocky stuff and remember that the back end will snake wherever it feels like it!
you'll only fuck the tube, which is fucked at this stage anyway.... assuming you dont ride all weekend on it flat or give it death or hit rocks etc fast
Well thats the 2nd bike thing i've learnt today! Bikeshop didn't even point it out to me that you could still ride on it taking it easy even when i explained that i have spare tubes back at the car all the time. Considering I have run 2 PSI in a rear trying to maintain traction, how much damage can 0 PSI cause?
Everytime I see someone with a flattie on a trail ride they look really grumpy, I assumed it'd be a bit stink riding on one!
