The best I ever got was 34 km/l out of my GN250 on a trip from Auckland to Masterton. In comparison, my GS500 averages around 22.5 km/l, which is significantly better than what my KR150 used to manage.

My CBR250R does around 4.5-5.5L/100km, depending on how I ride it.

It sure can. the trip computer shouldnt lie. I can drive to Hamilton from Wellington and get 9.8L/100km...2003 SV8..remember....its only doing 1600 RPM at 100 km/h!! Not even working. Our 3.8V6 Commie gets better consumption figures (according to the dash readout) at 120kph than it does at 100. Go figure. Of course, it averages out over a tank. On a trip, we get something like 650+kms to a tank (60lt)

Hells bells my HD does 6 to 6.5 l/100km or 16.7 to 15.4 km/l on the open road.
Don't know what it really does round town even my commute is mostly at 100km/hr.
