i had this same thought when i was looking for my 250 - why are so many of them at or so close to the price of the bigger (and better) bikes?? I found that the ones that really were overpriced just didn't move. they'd be there week after week and eventually the price would slide down. The 250 market is pretty 'expensive' but the flip side of that is that when you eventually sell your 250 (as I am looking to do shortly) you will likely recoup much of that cost and be able to upgrade with minimal extra cost. No point moaning about it as everyone is in the same boat.

for sure. 250 bandits around the same age/mileage as my 1200, are often advertised at a similar price to what i consider mine to be worth, if not more!!
