Thumbs down Dangerous riding out to Kaiaua

The video speaks for itself. Know them? Tell them to stay in their own lane and wait for a better time to pass where they wont be putting not only themselves but also me into danger. A shit way to start what would've been a much more comfortable day's ride.

If I was the usual 4x4 + boat along there I'd hate to think how that would have turned out if he'd done the same. Luckily for both of us a bike has a lot of room in the lane to avoid other bikes

At the start you were pretty close to the white line too ... anywhere within arms-reach of the line is a dangerous place to be in twisties ...

FYI - The camera is mounted on my right hand wing mirror so my wheels were about the right-hand wheel track. Going wide before the corner allowed me to see him earlier and gives me much much more room for evasive manoevres. If I was any further to the left my apexing would be early and I'd end up close to the centre-line on exiting the corner, somewhere I don't wanna have to be.

Not to mention I was on my side of the white line at all times, can't see at all how you're trying to criticise my riding here...

You have every riight to be a tad annoyed there fella, looks like possibly the car had left him enough room to pass without going anywere near your lane.Silly prick, hope he shit himself.

Bloody stupid place to pass anyway, can't even see round the corner until it's too late.

Weird place to pass because that section is probably one of the easiest places to pass (visibility, wide road etc) where he's been coming from... I'd hate to see what he was up to around all the hills and blind corners over the last 20km he's been riding. As requested! Been on that road for nigh on ten years... No, near 20 these days!... Have you, Maha?

Its very evident that the biker had no intention on reclaiming his lane anytime soon.

Not trying to be a dickhead this time, but has anyone else noticed how bolshy riders are on that particular section of clevedon-kaiaua? Most times I go there (esp when in a car, when room is an issue) there is someone to put their mirrors/head across the line in your way, forcing you onto the gravel...
