I always leave my bike in first gear when there's any hint of a slope, I've parked on a friends drive that has to be 20 degrees and never had a problem...

I often look at those things, then the price and think wtf? then there is all the talk about how they are got for the likes of UK's drop but bad news if any speed is involved, and then I look at what you get for the price again and the list of what I need/want. Around we go again.

funnily enough, just been looking around as well, yup, $350 + shipping is a good starting point. For sure it would have saved me money if I drop the bike twice! Hindsight is awesome and flawless aye?

They are only the frame knobs, which are only an assistance and will not give the bike the full protection so a drop is still going to possibly cause damage. If the 350+ included engine protectors or bar ends or something else it would be more attractive. I might try to find an alternative.
