Better the poor pants than the lads knees.

Hope he heals well and finds a good seamstress to fix your pants.

The pants did their job perfectly, judging from the damage if he hadn't been wearing them he wouldn't have a kneecap.

Yup. My first pair of leather pants in 1994.
Purchased 8am ish on a chilly winter Wednesday. Lost the knee down to the foam in the winter liner the skin was exposed but not cut on both knees about 6pm ish the same day.
    Only ever worn jeans before.
$350 ÷ 10 hours or ÷ 600 ish kms. Either way pretty good value.
Been on lay by for 3 months in anticipation of my first road.

Local seamstress wouldn't take more than $25 to fix both knees with new armour... I couldn't have bought the armour for that.

no matter where I went around that ground I couldn't seem to get the angles right, in a bit of a rush by the time I got there so didn't waste too much time, did try both ends
As to out of the game; I am glad there were no cars present. Lost the rear on a shinny patch on wet wet road, tanks slapper when I got grip followed by another shinny patch resulted in the bike park in a ditch with me still on the other side of the road. Happened about 600 meters south of the Apple orchard on Paekakariki Hill Rd. If you take that road beware, especially with the extra construction traffic and cars avoiding SH1.

yeah think I will survive lol. As with your son, the gear paid the price but was worth the cost. The bugger is that in both cases they will go down as single bike crashes and the contribution factors will be ignored.
I you did follow me I didn't notice, sorry.

It's much closer to home for most of us but I wouldn't want to make it too easy...

Seen him about NW often, he has a nice bike, saw him getting his wof a while back when we were doing the cage too. My youngest worked at the NW when it opened too, so it is a small world lol oops and then I was forgetting you worked with her hehe

Yeah, I wondered how you could miss the angle, It's pretty obvious once you find it. I spent ages scrying google maps before I found it, then waited about 2 months to actually collect lol
