Get healed soon dude, hope the sore ribs doesn't effect ya sense of humour, laughing has that torture on the ribbies.
And with the safety stuff re scooters-dumb asses, also the cyclists out training a little lid and lycra, their skin must be tough, one almost passed me downhill a while back,as I was looking for a rapid number in the country for the house, was doing 50k or so and caught a glimpse of him zooming past,I had indicator on so he knew I was turning left, but shit he was honking along.

    Hypothetical question for you.

If a motorcyclist is riding along obeying all the road rules, and suddenly, seeing a short skirt walking down the road turns his head and goes "Phoooar", then turns back to what he's doing only to discover an unavoidable car turned into his path, should he consider himself in any way partially responsible for the outcome?

(And I'm not saying this is the case in this particular incident - it could just as easily have been a pie shop).

And is that a guy sucking off another guy in your avatar?

The crash investigation will say that speed was the issue.

If you want to see it as that, then you are quite entitled to see 2 blokes shagging if you want to. I believe that psycologists' have inkblots that assist in determining inner thoughts.

Some say in other threads, that making it harder to get a license is the way to stop this sort of accident.I say look were your going! She will probably get fined less than a speeding ticket. And you pay in other ways for a long time.

Some say that riding with 100% concentration 100% of the time and being able to recognise danger spots will greatly reduce this sort of accident also.

True, but not always. If youve been riding a long time(You probably already do watch for danger spots), my guess is you have dodged quite a few. But don`t get over cocky, as some tin tops time there u turns to perfection. I`ve been hit in the side of my bike.

Hear that, trouble is when a person decides to turn across you when you are 2m away from them, there is only so much you can do.
    For ther record:
    1 - I was mpt speeding (40km/hr)
2 - I dropped off the throttle when I felt she was going to move
3 - She went for a gap that had me in it
4 - I was wearing protective gear and, in the opinion of Police and witnesses, was riding safely and correctly
5 - It was shit bad luck for me
6 - She has been issued an IN for failing to give way when turning right
7 - There are no pie shops on the Strand
    Thats it.......

Doesn't sound like the cops are covering up so safe to assume the chick wasn't a copper herself. I wonder where she learnt that manouver then?

Yes yes yes, but every accident is avoidable from the riders perspective.

And just for failing to give way? She caused an accident and wrote a vehicle off. Thats easily careless driving causing ....
