Ignorant people have been known to behave in an apallingly manner, these young men that jeered may not have realised the seriousness of the riders injuries.
Many years ago I fell off a bike on the side of the road, some young men driving past laughed their arses of at my misfortune. It happens.
I'm sure these jeerers are not laughing quite so hard now.
