Just take the rubber grip off ... water between the rubber and the throttle bar will make it slip. The rubber grip must have a hole in it and will probably need replacing. Usually they are not glued on the bars ... just the stretch of the rubber holding them firmly in place.
They are not that expensive to buy.
There has been an alarming increase in the number of things I know nothing about ....
