    Wot the Jatz's did

Seeing as how this is a format I can understand, and I can't get my head around this Blog shit, and the tour report thread won't let me embed images , I will put my stuff in here..... to be updated as and when required.
What should follow is a thread with pics of our bikes with some scenery behind them, and storys of our travels around Nelson, N.Z; and possibly further afeild for those who are interested.

    Labour weekend 2010 pt1

Labour weekend coming up.... and it has sorta become tradition to go and watch a bit of street racing in Greymouth, and this year was no different.
I started prep the weekend before (which is very unusuall for me) by knocking up some pannier racks for MrsJatz

then it was a long wait for sturday to roll around, but roll around it did and it was a teary to the kids (yeah right) and we were away.
First bit of gravel for the weekend was the Dry weather road from Tapawera through to Glenhope.

then it was just a gentle pootle to Murch for a pie, thought.... Nah the bikes don't need gas should be able to get to Reefton on one tank
MrsJatz ran out about Cronadun, at 252k's I got 300 out of it last time. but she still had a bit on the other side of the tank...
Got to Reefton without any more dramas where we met up with MyGSXF and her mate Fred. Had a bit of lunch at cafe saddlebag and we carried on towards Nelson creek, and Lake Hotchstetter

    Pt 2

I had the GPS route from CooneyR's website so it should be a piece of cake to find the lake, we tried a couple of years ago in the 4wd and phucked the paintwork mirrors and aeriel, this time was gonna be different.
Nice forestry roads heading in to the lake, nut I didn't take any pics, we found this dam thing

and carried on to the lake.....

kinda big really, don't know how we missed it last time
    after a brief stop.....

where layers were shed we carried on, up a hill

    and down the other side

here's a bit of the track....

We poped out just down the road from Kopara and headed for camp at Nelson creek and a bit of socialising with some of the Plains MC

I'll tell MrsJatz you called her "Bling"
I see this thread being similar to your re-build thread, to be added to over time...

Yeah, I had already growled at her for putting her feet down and "paddling" , she's better than that and the bikes better too Pics of Karamea and northward coming up mate

If you have the tools it's easy, but I'm still not happy with it. It held up to a slight ooopsie though, what more can you ask for...

    Anyway... enough chit chat

    pt 3

Woke up to a grey miserable sort of day so we packed up and gapped it to Greymouth and a hot breaky.
    Saw a bit of.....

    while we were there
    and some of this

for anyone who hasn't been, you gotta go, it's not just about the racing, it's the journey, gettin there, and watching someone wheelstand past the police station at stupid speeds

    anyhoooo
got itchy feet about lunchtime after chattin to some folks from here on K.B.
    and headed towards Westport.
The ride up the coast was a gem, as always, a quick fuel up in Westport and we headed for a date with one of these bad boys in Granity

Drifters is the place, remember JMJ
Then we rode furtherer up the road, over the Karamea bluff
I'll let the pics do the talking here

    with lots of ....

    and....

I stop here before I exceed the pic limit
