Biker Boyz new thread! 250cc rides and stuff
Carrying on from our last thread, which seems to have died over the colder months, I thought I'd start a new thread for the new summer and soon to be new year...!
Okay, so everyone has probably read that I had an off last weekend, so I'm not going to be able to host any 'Biker Boyz' rides or events this summer (which feckin' sucks!!!) ... HOWEVER, my good buddy Fatt Max has offered his legendary self to take the reins whilst I'm out of action! I haven't had a chance to discuss any plan of action or anything with him yet, however we had a good sit down at the MAG-NZ weekend in Taupo and everyone there said the 'Biker Boyz' initiative was a bloody good one!
I had the chance to sit down and listen to MAG's plans for their future, and raised my hand right at the end of the meeting to ask whether or not they would support our cause - that of bringing newbie (and not so newbie) bikers together to learn and enjoy our somewhat smaller capacity bikes in a safe, learner friendly environment. My proposal was to have the 'Biker Boyz' support and be supported by MAG-NZ, and, as I am a member of MAG-NZ already, I see it as a great way to grow and open up to more and more small bike riders, to be able to share tips and tricks, and to be able to learn from bikers that are more than willing to share their knowledge and wisdom when it comes to riding safely, and learning techniques that might otherwise take years to develop on our own.
So, I hope you guys get out there and start putting rides together, take a look at the MAG-NZ website at www.mag-nz.org and get involved! Summer is here now, and I know there are plenty of you out there that can't wait to get out and go for a ride! I know I can't, that's for sure!
Maxxy, bud, she's all yours!
