Some kind of guide to match battery to bike model might be good. Or did I miss it?

Now that I'm older, I thought it was great that I seemed to have more patience. Turns out I just don't give a shit...
No, I've got to add the link to Shorai's website guide, so that's coming. Meantime, go to www.shoraipower.comThis quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

If a battery is listed for online purchase does that mean you have it in stock ?This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
cheers
Good question! I will see if I can list what is available and what isn't. Wouldn't want someone to pay and find there is 2-week wait for it to arrive! This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

I have adjusted the stock levels and now can say that if you see it on the site, it's available. I have just sent off my next order to Shorai and they are shipping on the 25th so should be here by the end of the month. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Dave O'Leary at Yamaha Watercraft World in Penrose, Church St. is now a dealer for Shorai so if anyone is in the area, do pop in and check them out.
Motorcycle.com has done a review of the batteries and you can read it here...

Maaaaaate! I just received my x2 batteries for my race bikes and F#$K are they light (I thought you forgot to send one when I picked the package up!)! Can't wait to try em out :-)This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
That's a common reaction. Some think I've handed them an empty case! "Ïs this real?", is a normal question, too. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I recommend charging them fully first, although they are about 80% charged out of the box and should crank your bike straight into life.
Keep us posted as to how they perform and if you notice the weight advantage in the handling at all. All the best for the season!![]()

Sales have taken off! Instead of ordering monthly, I have now had to order four times since Dec. 1st! Racer's are catching on to them and some of NZ's top riders are now using Shorai batteries, including Shaun Harris, Craig Shirriffs and Andrew Stroud. Andrew is only running a 9A in his thou and reckons it kicks it into life just fine! It's tiny!!!
Their power is becoming legendary and I am now selling the big 36A's as fast as I can get them for big block V8 race cars and now the latest for helicopter starter packs! Jetski owners are cottoning onto them now too.
Today a chap from Gibbs Technologies picked up a 36A for their amphibious craft. They've been using them in the US for a while now and were pleased to find a NZ distributor with stock on hand. He says they will be buying more...
Of the hundreds I have now sold I have had two die and been unrecoverable due to over discharging. Despite the Shorai warranty excluding over discharging I have replaced them out of good faith and have no dissatisfied customers!
New dealer along with Auckland Yamaha are now Boyd's in Hamilton, so if you're in the area pop in and check them out. I have several other dealers interested and going through the process. There was a bit of a break over Xmas New Year, but everyone is now back on the job.
My offer to KB'rs stands at Trade Price with free postage. Check Jan Motorcycle Trader, page 140 for my current ad with testimonials from Craig, Shaun and Marcus.

Wellington Motorcycles is now a dealer for Shorai batteries!![]()
Give them a few days to get stocks in, I've just put in a revised order for next week with a lot more stock on order than I anticipated. Sales are snowballing and I'm really stretching to keep up with demand now!
Also, today my plates arrived!I reckon they look good on the Kizashi! Only problem now, is that I'm going to have to behave myself while driving...

Hibiscus Coast Service Centre in Whangparaoa is now a dealer for Shorai! David Sidwell Place.
If you're in the area, pop in and take a look at the batteries. Tim, (Classic_Z), is a keen biker with his mint Z1300 Kawasaki and another in build. Also while you're there, check out his mad Polo! VW Polo with an Audi A8 V8, mid-mounted!![]()

Cool product Ed. I ordered and received my one a few days ago. Small and light, very deceptive! Now my original battery was an 8Ah one, and even though the new Shorai is an 18Ah one, it's still lighter and smaller than the OEM one...yippeeOh yes, I wasn't particularly chasing light weight, more into max grunt and durability as I want my bike to crank 24/7 rain or shine.
I'm not surprised at the popularity of the product.
Some folks are only alive 'cause it's illegal to shoot them....
Thanks mate! I'm in Taupo for the weekend and will have at least one dealer here by the time I go home. Roger Maisey at Heli Specs is taking them on so if you are in the Taupo region give him a call. I'll be chatting to a couple of bike shops too. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

Okay, Helispecs in Taupo is now a dealer, Roger Maisey is using the 36A batteries as helicopter starter packs which now weigh 6kg rather than 28kg! He is also now using a 7A for his racing cart. Roger is also a biker and has a new 1250S Bandit with the ABS option.
He tried to flatten a battery by cranking a Robinson R22 piston engine over and gave up when the cables started melting and he was afraid of burning out the starter motor! Batteries were still cranking full speed!
Sold a 27A to a jetsprinter in Taupo for his 5lt V8 in his boat. Only a small 500+hp this one, but the 27A cranked it fine and he bought it on the spot!
North Harbour Batteries in Silverdale is now a dealer so if in this area, pop in and check them out.
I really need lots more money right now...![]()

I now have seven dealers signed up with Scooter World in Auckland signing yesterday, so with dealers so far in Whangaparaoa, Silverdale, Auckland, Hamilton, Taupo and Wellington I have to consider their interests and support them.
I will now be referring future enquiries to your local dealer. It would be unethical for me to offer a discounted price directly in competition to my dealers, so while KB has been a valuable start for me, I'm sure everyone will understand that I can no longer offer a discounted price through the website.
My purpose was to establish a dealer network throughout the country and withdraw from retail sales altogether once I had enough to do the job.
So please do support your local dealer as the batteries truly are unique and well worth the money which really isn't any more than you would be paying out anyway taking their life into account.
I am getting a lot more feedback about their amazing power, too.
Roger at Helispecs, using them for his starter packs has not only reduced the weight of the packs from 28kg to 6.5kg, (!), but he also wanted to see how long they would crank for.
He hooked a pack up to a Robinson R22, made sure it wouldn't fire and started cranking. He gave up when the cables overheated and began to melt and he was worried about burning out the starter motor. The battery pack was still cranking at full speed...
So we still can't tell you how long they will crank for as it appears your starter motor will give up long before the batteries do.![]()
