The Peg to Harrs Rd entrance for Nth Bank Waimak to the Forestry blockage, back tracked to exit on Dog Trial Rd, up Thongcaster Rd past where we would normally exit the Nth Bank, to the Waimak Gorge Bridge, then straight on to Shefield Pie shop.
After Pies we took Malvern Hills Road, Auchenflower Rd, Bleakhouse Rd to what I call the Darfield Exit where we entered the Waimak South Bank roads and tracks to pop back out on Weedons Ross Road and home from there on the tarmac.
Essentially the Waimak loop as advertised but for the detour around the closed bit and a bit of the Malvern hills area instead of the wet end of the South bank so as not to double back to the gorge bridge after the pie stop.

Anyone thinking about going for a ride this weekend, last ride out someone was asking about heading to Lake Sumner.
Should have gone yesterday.
Lake Sumner area would have been nasty on the way in with the wind.
