This will make 5 riders in total heading down Rainbow (as far as I know).

yeah but we are not starting till 1 or so from North end of rainbow - if you lot do Edwards first and then we may catch up on Mailing , if you do Mailing first reckon you'll be way ahead of us all the way

9am sounds good, meet at the Peg. We can either do the gravel roads or black top to Hurunui then pit stop at Hamner before heading out.

    +1

We'll aim to be at St Arnaud at 1pm, fuel up and push on so we can get to Mailing Pass at a fairly early time. Would be good to catch up

    Cheers

Basically the gravel roads behind Amberley, would add to journey time but well worth it.
I would normally turn off at the bridge north of Woodend and go from there.

If you want company before the 1st I am free every day except possibly boxing day as may be doing the Waipara riverbed thing, not sure but know we are starting in Amberley so guessing it's the river.
I'd been thinking about Molsworth/rainbow lap in a day, all opens on the 28th and everything should be quite good with this bit of drizzle keeping the dust down.
