Rmoto just back from day ride, haven't heard from Geordie, looking like we might be better to get away 9.30am to make sure we have a good day, will put more up later when Josh and Geordie come back.

Some new tracks anyway which is good and weather is looking good.

I guess main thing is, is everyone happy to get away at 9.30 am.
    Cheers Paul

Looking at the forecast it shouldn't be a problem, so 9:30am at the Z it is then.

The reason I didn't want to leave too early I was thinking about riding on roads that might have ice on them, I would rather come home later in the day than do another day riding on road with black ice and sheet ice.

Yip totally agree about the ice, it's not good to ride on, it looks like we are going to get a nice day before the shit weather early week.

I plan to get some lunch at Little river to have over the bay.

Make sure you bring a camera , you will get some good pics.

See you in the morning ready to rock for 9.30am
    Cheers Paul

What sort of terrain would you be covering on this ride?

The ride covers public gravel roads, all depends on what way we go over to Banks Peninsula.

I'm not interested in doing MX shit on a heavy DR I'll leave that to the one's who want to pay to play.

Have a good ride guys! Was hoping to sneak along but life interfered.

I'm down on the weekend of the 18th instead all going to plan and would be a starter for the beach trip from Leeston hood, or whatever is going. I can do a Sunday no bother but have to slab home after so if anyone finds sat is better I'm happily down for that.

I'm very jealous about the peninsula ride, I've been gagging for a ride recently! Something in the snow could be fun tho I just don't seem to have the time

    Okuku Pass in the snow!

We hadn't done an adventure ride for a while so we loaded the bikes on to the trailer and drove on up to White Rock, not bargaining on there being several inches of snow! Decided to venture up the road to assess the conditions. It was not too hairy, so we carried on up and over the pass and down to the farm (past the second stream crossing). It was a ride to remember. So beautiful.

We weren't the only people nutty enough to venture up the pass on two wheels - we came across two nutters on mountain bikes!
