    Cold

I know, too old to ride the DR at speed in this weather! MTB riding around Bottle Lake was bad enough today, still ice in the puddles at 1600hrs.

Good lord, it's a TA clearing house. Hope you get more than a handful of magic beans for them - that's always been my problem when selling bikes - our transactions notwithstanding.
You seen this? Om nom nom. Tauranga seems to be the home of Transalps.

I wanted to go but have stuff to do so will have to give it a miss this time.
Hope you have a good one, look forward to a bit of a report from someone... who went, how deep the water was at least.

Thanks man, appreciate the offer. Shame the ride has been called off, too much water apparently. But always keen to go out for a hoon so if you're ever heading out somewhere, lemme know if you'd like some company.

Water too deep it seems, pity. Oh well, I better keep lounging in front of the fire then

I'd be there if I wasn't in taupo. Take whatever you can control the power on. 2010 was muddy as, 2011 was frozen ice. Easy to pick up i.e. RM, is great but if you can't easily control the power to get it down then DR almost better. Probably going to be muddy this year given recent weather so RM probably better choice.

    This ride is KDX200/200EXC territory.

    Cheers R

I know what you mean! Last year I was on the RM in the ice and frozen mud, had a couple of off's losing the front end, wrote off my pipe! 2 stroke MX bike with 50 plus hp on MX Tyres on Ice not a good combo.

LOL. I really enjoyed last year, worn out tyres and all. Almost took my head of on a fence post near the end of the loop but really good for practising traction control.
