11th Sept - Port Waikato area

Next ride on 11 Sept to Port Waikato, leaving BP Bombay (NOT BP Papakura).

Meet 9.30 to leave promptly at 10.

Heading for Nikau Caves via Klondyke Rd for lunch and fuel for those require it let me know. They will stock it especially for you if asked. Gravel roads for the most part. Should be great day, will have JG as leader and a tail end charlie. See you there!

    Limestone Downs

Is Nikau Cafe the final destination,or are you planning on going further?

After Nikau I think the plan is to head up through Limestone Downs and back through Klondyke again.

    Yes plenty more.

No,I think the gravel stops at the Nikau Caves - then it turns to seal and heads back to SH22. I'll stand at the SH22 intersection to make sure none of them get lost.

OK rephrase. Plenty of route options without backtracking along the Limestone Downs and klondike roads. All very awesome too.

I seem to have a few hours to spare tomorrow so will see if I can get there...... typically the weather is doing it's best to ruin my reputation but it will keep the dust down!

Just so I do get a dry ride in I'm heading north to annoy the occupants of Puhoi and Helensville for the afternoon.

so where is the best place to rendezvous for Waikato riders? Do you have a good loop rather than re-tracing?....seems Andy suggested? Are you coming mate? I am keen to tag along if this is okay...

Some people are like slinkies... not really good for anything but you just can't help but smile when you see one tumble down the stairs.

Hi - I think the loop is down to Klondyke and back towards Onewhero then metal roads between there down to Nikau then return via Limestone Downs - back through Klondyke if anyone wants to.

Not 100% sure, if you PM your cell I can have the RIC let you know meet up point.
