    Help to identify part (FXR150)

Today I took apart a carb for the first time and while I was cleaning a small part fell out. I'm not sure where it goes back in.

    Anyone care to help?

I've attached a couple pictures of the part and a pic of each side of the carb, except left and right cause there's a 6 pic limit.

I think you might be right. Any idea what way is up? The tapered side or the flat side? (Tapered on the inside)

Tapered on the inside should be up, looks like thats where the main Jet should be housed? I could be wrong. whatever you do, dont over tighten it or you could potentially split the carb body

That hole suggested by sable is where the main jet goes but there seems to be room for the extra little bit and when I drop it in, it gets caught by the slightly wider part.

Do you have the jet for it? put the jet in, then whatever end the jet screws in and stays in is the end that is at the top.

Thank you very much. The jet only screws in with the tapered side up and the other end sticks out slightly into the middle of the carb.

Also, what does this do? Click image for larger version.

ID:	243243 The screw seems to cut off the pipe. The carb is upside down.

Yep from my experience they dont screw all the way in, im assuming the little piece you had was the Emulsion tube

Pretty sure the spare part was the emulsion tube.
The screw on the bottom is a drain screw so you can let the fuel and crap in the bottom of the carb pour nicely onto the ground in you have water or other garbage in there. Doesn't screw all the way in.

It looks to be the needle jet/seat.

Edit: Silly big explanation not really needed.
