Ramblings of a madman? Or a backpacker's hellride?

    Here's a thought !

Suddenly found myself surrounded by ilk minded ppl and we just happen to have room for a tourist/couple/group to stretch out (ok the ppl were always around, but the room was not) !

Might be the start of a hospitality rollercoaster, but the thought of starting/(restart?) a thread offering a ride from hell, with a bed at the end of each day has been niggling !

I know that if someone were to ride off the picton ferry, or fly into wellington/palmerston North (bike organised), I and/or a few mates/KBers? could keep him/her/them ocupied for a couple of days riding around some of the best kept secrets in the lower north island !
Time it right and we could include a test/track day at Manfeild to the mix ?
Add The ADV guys to it and ya got worn out tourists !

Lets keep it simple ! I just claimed Wellington-WHanganui-Dannervirke (a little greedy i know but thats me) (and negotiable) Thought about regions but that's just stupid because the best roads calve em up (and i hate Wellington City).

But with that, i can offer He/She who dares, two or three exhausting days of riding (throw an ADV rider in there and... (i'll go have a rest) (till the track day), A bed for those nights and an escort to the next adventure. Be it west or east !

Sooooo, know your way around your area ? Can plan a route for friends/others (if you can't lead) to show folk around ? Provide a bed/grub for a night or two ?

Happy to go through this thread (if it grows) and maybe map things out roughly (remap regions perhaps lol), Add contacts for each area ?

Keep in mind it's about the ride lol Wear yourself out and your Guest is gonna be blown away !

A girlfriend once asked " Why is it you seem to prefer to race, than spend time with me ?"
The answer was simple ! "I'll prolly get bored with racing too, once i've nailed it !"

We could call it NZ wide pass the baggage ! Or just pass the Hag !

    To KISS it
    MAP KEYS

B&B = Bed and breakfast, or a stove for ya to cook ya own fuckin eggs
B = Just a root, or if yr a fugly, a blanket on the garage floor
M = Map a ride out for ya but might not be able to join, cause the cops have my licence
M&R = Hell, like i'd let ya ride without me
G = Gravel, or a wickedly cool Moari fella

Jesssus, another bloody Irishman in the mix, that'll be humourous !

Let me know when your heading down/up these parts Suzi and we'll sort sommit out ! Threads a bit quiet but i'm sure someone from Auckland will want a cuddle, talk politics etc, to try and understand why the Irish rolled over !

As for the room service, lol We ate the fuckin cow, but i know where there's plenty of seafood, (might even have a wetsuit that'll fit ya), that way there'll be no bowl blockages at 7.30 in the mornin when ya start thinkin about finding somewhere to put ya head down !

I can't offer B&B but I do know my way round the Far North & am always happy to point riders in the right direction depending on their tastes.

Add me to the list if I fit the criteria.

Oooh, I know some great fishing spots too.

You'd be happy to claim an area then Mark ? Find a few others who'd be keen to show tourists around if/when your busy etc ?

You guys too far from Auck airport to organise pick ups, welcome commitee ?

    Why thank you.

I intend doing quite a few gravel miles between now & dotage, the tarmac up here is simple but their are a myriad of gravel roads to be explored.
(And if I buy that dirt bike, green roads)

    Ya what!?

Yeah we are starters for sure, we are about an hour away from Auckland airport, but it is a shit trip through the shitty city twice. Could be convinced though if times suit the work/life balance. Guests may be better off catching the shuttle direct to our door, or to my work in Albany, and having a jet lag recovery couple of days. I accept payment in wine

    Yo Mofos'
Met a couple of young fellas down at the pub, get this ! Two dudes, different backgrounds both intelligent (sp) They (or their clan) paid to come work at the Christian camp for 6 months ! Ummmm got that wrong huh ?
One Russian and one Mexican, the Russian has a better grasp of the spoken Englase but i still had to say what ! And they both was lookin at me like stunned mullets when i talked about earning a coin while backpackin round NZ

What got me was when i mentioned Cartells (sp) the Mex spilled about life in Mehico, comes down to 3 Cartells and the yanks ! Liked this one (gave him my cell)
Russia i understand is better now, no mafia anymore (must all be in the states)

Fruit pickin season ? Where when how ?
    Napier ? HB ?
    ANY other IDEAS
Be a shame to see them waste away at a christian camp in Waikanae ! There are more of them as i understand it Grrrr (poor cunts, holidaying in waikanae beach for a year)
