    Promoting helmetless scooterists

On the back of a bus today I saw the below advertisement.

I'm not usually one for worrying about advertisements, I'm not one of those people who complain about "bugger" in an ad, or kids driving or things silly like that; but in this case, I'm seriously considering writing to the ASA or even ACC.

Maybe I'm just in an antagonistic mood, but it just seems really irresponsible to, all be it indirectly, promote riding your scooter, at speed without so much as a helmet, let alone gloves.

I don't think you could get away with advertising like this if the focus was on "happy beautiful and cool" people dragging on cigarettes any more, for the same reason, as a society we don't want to subconsciously promote it.

In Melbourne there is a mural outside a cafe of a guy on a scooter with no helmet eating an ice cream while riding. On the other hand, this morning I saw a guy on a scooter wearing a racing jacket with a massive back protector and everything.

Is it actually illegal to ride without a helmet in the country the movie was made in? Not that it matters cause it aint real life. I would also like to know how they could actually promote the two main actors without showing their faces?

Is that for real? Never knew that.

Edit to add: really? You can't ride a push bike on the road without a helmet, and I doubt many push bikers go much more than 30k's an hour.

I take that back, I missed the 'And'
However, you're not required to wear a helmet if:

you're on an all-terrain vehicle, a motorcycle, or a moped and
    you're travelling up to 30 km/h, and
you're travelling from one part of a farm to another on the same farm or an adjoining farm owned or occupied by the same person
you're on an all-terrain vehicle, a motorcycle, or a moped and
you can prove you're a member of the Sikh religion, and
    you're travelling up to 50 km/h.

How come members of the Sikh religion can go without helmets? Do they have like halo's around their heads or something protecting them?
