Went up to the hospital today to get a zippy 3 wheel knee scooter I was SO
and came home with a basic two wheel walker ( they only had one scooter to lend out and it had just been given out )

Need to have a word with that daughter of yours about expecting her poor mother to hobble out and get the washing in. Hope your making some progress Robyn. Club has got a ride on Sun the 31st. Will try and catch up again after that.

    Rebirth of a Twin

Picked up a 1990 Honda XRV750 Africa Twin earlier this year in a rather sorry state and after a lot of cleaning, painting and overhaul of various componants its assembly time, making slow progress but its starting to look like something. Still a few more farkles to come from the UK but thought i would share some very nude pics of Honda's biggest XR.Click image for larger version.

Very nice! That is going to be one sweet ride, I'm afraid that I don't have the patience to do that with one of mine, but who knows, maybe one day....

The KLR really was right at the top of the wish list but then up popped this TLC seeking XRV750, ( A bike Ive always admired) and decided to go with it and ive also , always liked rebuild projects so the AT it was. The Wee Strom is a loverly bike to ride and at 24kms to the litre i aint complaining. lot more grunt than the DR and waaay more comfy, (Funny that) . Still hanging out to swing a leg over Hondas biggest XR though.

Went for ride up Waikaremoana. Turned off at Raupunga and went the back way in. Right up in the depths of Unwin country there were Grader signs... but damn the grader operator was a pro and the road perfectly done and in a very bike friendly way. Noticed several new sections of tarseal and conditions were very changeable from hard and fast to deep gloopy mud in places... Damn cold up there too after turning off the Wairoa rd.

A great effort Raymond Winter isn't my favourite time of the year, though we have had some amazingly warm days in the Bay recently.
Is Denniso doing much riding at the mo ?

I haven't even put my winter liners back in my riding gear yet.
Yes he been riding, prefers shorter trips I think and like me in mountain bike park more often than road/gravel riding. We should drag all the adventure riders out to park on push bikes at some stage
