Ha ha!
now what's wrong with C3PO's wiring? The only reason I haven't made more of those vids recently is that bike is off the road with, funnily enough, electrical issues!![]()
And Africa NEEDS batteries, think of the children!
I was just kidding about them using my footage. Just some of the shots are very similar so I must have been standing right on top of their cameraman in several places without knowing it.
I've already been chatting to someone else who also had similar shots on YouTube, turns out he's in my vid for a fair bit as he was standing right next to me on the day!
Anyhoo, an now saving for a bucket bike of some kind ...![]()

Went down to the inaugural and there were motard guys pulling wheelies 3/4 of the straight, dude on a CR 500 going real well.

Go for it Peeteey !
Whats the best bike for bucket racing ? FXR seems popular.
Anyone got a link to the rules and regulations to set one up please ?
Cheers
I imagine the FXR is popular 'cause it seems quite fast and is the maximum CC allowed too.
There's one on TM for $1200 at the mo, that's $1199 more than I've got at the mo
Check this page out:

It has the rules there but it links to a PDF that seems to have moved. You can find it here:

..just come out and talk..you need a little more than just a bike...minimum requirements of attire, leathers, gloves, back-brace, regulation helmet and it does also mean buying day licences, around $20-25 bucks and entry to a race meeting which is $60.00 at our meetings,(CAMS) www.cams-racing.org.nz
...it isn't that much of an obstacle really, after your first, 'good fun', race, the rules of life change...a bit like a young fellas first fuck...you spend the rest of your life chasing that unobtainable feeling...after that you either get a two stroke bent or some other affliction...get your arse out to a club day at Ruapuna...there are bikes about that you could get a ride on...
Taking the dirt bikes (that's the non reged/wofed dedicated off road bikes this time) up the Waimak North bank Saturday morning. Parking the transport at/near the MX Track carpark area then going up stream toward the gorge hopefully at least as far as the little terrace track loops.
Will be a slow ride with dirt novices.
Just thought I'd put it out there in case other dirt bike owners here were interested. Probably unloading about 10:15am.

I know WNR is over and only runs during daylight saving but the weather looks pretty good for tomorrow and I have been suggesting to others that we can meet for a ride around the hills.
I figure the best way to achieve this would just be to post here and work it like a normal WNR (weather permitting) meet at BK moorehouse but head off a bit earlier at about 5:30 to try beat the dark
From there the plan is to head up columbo st to dyres pass, follow the below route round to the weatsheaf (if we need to have a stop, maybe a quick beer) and then continue on this route: http://quikmaps.com/show/201199
after I complete the loop I often go around again, depending on traffic and road conditions
I'm not expecting many to turn up but more than a couple we may have to split into groups to help negotiate the traffic
Also given my level of experience I would like it if anyone with a few years riding under their belt could show up and act as a TEC if anyone other than me goes on this ride

I would be keen, but not at 6:30.
Too dark or sun in your eyes
5:30 sounds way better!
