    Shark RSR2 review

hey guys.. kinda bored so i taught i'd right up a review on my Shark RSR2 helmet. Bought it of trademe a few months ago.. i ride everyday so i've used it through most of new zealand's weather conditions..

I've got a nc30 and a bandit and there is noticeable different in the helmet performance between these to riding positions.

    For the Sportbike position -

*very quite, you hear the wind but not enough to annoy you
*The lower venting flow is nearly perfect i would say. I don't have to lift my visor up at stationary and while on the motorway you feel just enough wind flow that its not too much and makes you cold and sniffel
*there is definitely a lack in total vision compared to other helmets, you do need to turn your head to check your sides but having said that i find in the sport position the helmet drag is very low and its easy to turn your head.

    For the Upright position-

    *alot noisier. definitely need earplugs.
*the venting performance decreased somewhat, i found on the motorway i felt alot more air come up into the helmet compared to the sport position.
    * drag definitely noticeable in the upright position.

I'm kinda half hearted on the helmet to be honest. its very light and perfect for a sports rider but you must get the size right. I fit a Medium in most of the helmet ranges and unfortunately this just doesn't fit right. its a little small for my total head length but fits my crane perfectly and i find it doesn't give me the full face shell feel that the shoei and some other brands do. i was told that this is how shark makes their helmets but i think i should have just bought a size bigger.

i found that when i removed the breath deflector it allowed my nose to come in more and improve the feel of the helmet..

SO I definitely recommend trying the helmet on before you buy it!. besides that awesome helmet for a sportbike rider at an awesome price that provides 5star SHARP safety rating.. you just cant go wrong(well maybe on size )
