Speedo cable (Suzuki SJ50QT)

Good evening all, So when riding home today looked down to see how fast i was going and it was going flat out zero (Rather suprised me) have pulled off the front of my scooter and had a look and jst want to know could it be anything else? am looking at just buying a cable from sccotling and instaling it myself, anything i have to be aware of?

Any info would be great

To be honest, posted on here to find out an answer not really interested in stupid answers that dont help me (like above) Any help would be greatly appreciated

I think you're probably right in thinking its the cable. Few other things suggested to check here
