Waiau to Hanmer Springs?

For those in the know...

Is River road and Leslie hills road sealed?? and how much time would we save??we will be on the Daytona

We are staying in Hanmer 21/11/11 but wont be arriving until almost dark as we are on the 13:30 ferry out of wgtn

we really dont have a concrete plan except that we will be in Invercargill on the 25/11/11

Yes through Lyford turning off just before Waiau and cutting across bypassing Rotherham

we are undicided at the moment but it looks like tuesday will be hanmer, west cost, and down to cromwel,l and the long range forcast is looking like and clearing
