I'm looking for a big open space to practice slow speed riding, figure 8's, throttle control , that kind of stuff..
Anyone know of a suitable place out west? Somewhere no rent a cops will show up would be great.

A lot of places out west good for slow speed or handling practice are littered with boi numb nuts in shit box cars but if you have a few to pick you can often find one that's quiet.
You should know the area known as "span farm" at the end of Hepburn Road, being Bancroft, Culperry.
The concourse at the end of Lincoln Rd, particulary the end by the Auckland raceway Gokarts but check for small gravel and fine powder from the concrete batching plant.
The pay and display park in Henderson as long as you doing slow stuff.
Daytime there is a parking area in Archibald park.

Turboduck You are more than welcolm to come here. Im in Corban avenue. At the weekends and in the evenings the dead end street off of corban is completely empty. Enterprise road
Also theres a big area behind St michelle again empty on the weekends/evening.
That way if anything does go wrong you can always come here for a spanner etc

Unitec at Mt Albert would be good as there is a large carpark area perfect for this. In fact one of the MC training outfits uses that carpark for basic handling skills.
There are rent-a-cops there 24/7, however, so keep it sensible & you should be fine.

If I'm guessing right, your place occasionally has a bike/scoot for sale on out the front. I've slowed down for a gander more than once.

Hows about the Waitakare stadium car park, would that be any good?
The church car park behind the glendene shops is empty except for sunday am. Go right down the back, stacks of room.
It was when the stadium first opened but since the hanger pub opened they are less tolerant of activity in the car park. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
