Needing gear shift bar to fit FXR150

Hi all I done gone broke my gear shifter bar (or whatever it's called) on the FXR150. Was wondering if someone happened to have one "just lying round"? Or know best place to pick one up?
For those confused by what I'm after it's the bar like circled in red in the pic below (note the pic is not an FXR one but same sort of thing). Also feel free to inform me of what the bar is actually called too

can you weld it? or snapped at threads? Wrecker with measurement of shifter lever linkage connecting rod (for want of a better term) should find something. It will likely be a 6mm thread but one side is RH & the other LH thread.

I bought a new one from Suzuki ages ago , think it was either $18 or $28, something with an 8 in it anyway

I'll take 20$ for the broken rod . If the fixxer was going bucket it'd be going my bucket

Cheap and quick fix will be a small turn buckle from a marine shop. I think I picked mine up from Burnsco.

I've made a couple of these in different lengths for FXR buckets by taking random length linkage rods from other bikes, cutting them in half and then welding a length of tent peg in the middle.
They are LH thread on one end which complicates things a bit but your local wrecker should be able to help if the OEM part turns out extortionate.

Well bike shops are closed, so popped into Mitre10 Mega picked me up a 5$ turnbukle & I have gears again

For future reference (mainly since I tend to trash stuff on a regular basis) did your turnbuckle have m6 threads? Might be an option for future bucket linkages if so.

yep M6, but I did also get a 1m M6 threaded pole (think it was another 5$ for that) so I could extend the turnbukle replacement to the 240mm length of the original bar.
I just got the galvanised turnbuckle for round the 5$ mark but you can (if you want to go extreme) get a marine grade one at about 24$ (that'll handle those scenic rides through the ocean )

The threaded pole would probably do about 7-8 turnbukles replacements in total, or the remaining is handy for other applications.
So for around 10$ total not a bad little cheap quick fix, probably not as strong as original but my guess is it'll be the threaded pole that gives should any major impact come to it again & I have another 6 or so lengths of that to replace it with should it break

Is the threaded pole left hand thread? That would make thins super easy, I'd be avoiding the flash stainless ones because my shitty little mig won't handle it. With a chunk of LH thread M6 I could make linkages to my hearts content using that, cast off bolts an the trusty tent peg. Always seem to need a different length linkage than you have when you start moving foot pegs around and making unholy bastard bikes from parts that were never meant to live together.

umm maybee??? Not sure the M6 threaded pole I got was the usual threading whatever that is??? but using the turn buckle, 1 end will be LH & the other RH so either way you can use the LH M6
