I am heading to the South Island On Christams eve, leaving Auckland about 8 am, catching the 6.40pm ferry to picton.
Christmas day I am heading to CHCH for the night to stay with friends, after that...winging it till the 2nd.
If any body else is heading down about the same time and wants some comapny etc...or if you are riding around the South Isalnd. Feel free to get in touch. My partner is going to LA to see family so I will be on my own most of the way.
