    1975 RD350 - $1 Res

    1975 Yamaha RD350.

    $1 Res auction here: http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/List...524475&ed=true

Odo reads 1964km. I suspect this is not accurate. Maybe it is?!

    Matching engine and frame numbers.

Rego lapsed. No plate. I'm the 5th owner.
I have the original papers (with the first two owners names on) and receipts from the last two owners.
The previous owner told me it was easy to get the rego back to life with this paper work. I cannot confirm this.

Motor is tight. It's still on original bores, according to previous owner. Starts easily. Sounds great!

Paint is good. Resprayed at some point I think, it's a good a good job if it is.
There is surface rust on the shiny bits which is a bit of a shame but not a major.
    Everything is straight.
It's suitable to display as is, to ride or restore to mint.

The rear shocks have no life left in them. They just bounce. They'll need replacing if you want to do anything but display the bike. Front end isn't as bad but i'd certainly freshen it up if I was going to be riding it.

Think your overstating on the shocks even new they were mainly there for ornamental purposes. Nice bike and well priced, good luck with the sale.

huh, I saw this on Tardme last night & almost left a message that I was surprised at the professional way someone was attempting to sell the bike with useful information, proper disclosure & open communication methods.

Well done. You deserve to get a good price.

I had one of these back in the 80s (with the 250 stickers I placed over the 350 ones). I have a 350 in the lockup for a mate - waiting for him to sell it to me for not much. But it is sitting seized, pity but saveable.

    good luck
Don't you look at my accountant.

Yeah, I think that's the case for a few people. I'd take 1500 down and the rest over a few months, from someone I knew was good for it.
