    13. Can't wait to see the spin Paula Rose and Gerry Brownlee (Minister of Transport) put on final holiday road toll.
don't worry they'll still find a way to blame speed and be adamant that the 4k tolerance has worked

Drove from Hamilton to Auckland Airport and back twice today in the work van.

Have a Belltronics RX65 and got the heads up half a dozen times on the expressway today. The last time, I was heading south towards Ohinewai / Tahuna junction when I picked up signal from Highway Patrol in the usual spot hiding on the onramp ahead. A guy in a Pajero passed me doing at least 120-130 going under the bridge. Detector was going nuts all the way till over the crest at the end of the expressway so I can only assume the Pajero was speed checked at at least 20 kph over the limit.

Maybe his shift was ending and he'd already hit his quota? Oops, I mean "Performance Target" Or maybe he was just sick of standing in the rain giving out tickets?

Whatever the reason, seems pretty inconsistent with what's in the media
If a round peg fits in a round hole, and a squre peg fits in a square hole. . . Why isn't my knob shaped like an axe?

About the only half-good thing about it is that so far it doesn't include (AFAIK) any bike riders
"New Zealand is set for its lowest annual toll of road deaths since 1952 - the last year in which fewer than 300 people were killed in vehicle crashes...

Despite a grim holiday road toll of 11 (15 now ) deaths so far since Christmas Eve, the annual figure stood last night at 280 people killed, with just two days left of the year...

Superintendent Paula Rose, the national road policing manager, yesterday described this year's dramatic improvement as "pretty amazing" and something for all New Zealanders to be proud of."

Here's a thought... if they reduce the tolerance next time from 4kph to 3kph, then the stats are bound to get 25% better again.

I had a strange dream myself. You know that game some folk play on the streets where they toss coins at the wall and what not? In my dream they were tossing my semi hardened stool at the wall. I shit you not.

    Loving your bike/front/stand avatar.

Not loving your logic. Ah well, too much love in this world.
