So I have been riding for 18 months and occasionally when a guy or gal passes me they stick their foot out ... Is it a friendly 'hello rider' or have I upset them somehow?![]()

Must be emulating their fav motoGP rider, or cocking leg for a piss?, or wanna play road rash?
It's an alternative to the wave. It is 'hello, fellow rider'.
Who knows, they may not want to release the bars at that precise moment...

it always amazes me that so few people respond to my waves.. I've been waving since the 80's :P
Mind you, anyone who is old like me is probably concentrating on riding, since we have lost the ability to multitask.. so if you wave or nod to me and I dont reply, its not that I'm snobbing, I probably just missed it :P
"Shake a leg, youn' fella! You're in my way!"

Run for cover !!!
It's a waving thread !
A girlfriend once asked " Why is it you seem to prefer to race, than spend time with me ?"
The answer was simple ! "I'll prolly get bored with racing too, once i've nailed it !"
Bowls can wait !
This thread is all backwards, it does not ask why some people don't wave. Instead it asks why people do it funny.
Fuckin wierd man, really fuckin wierd.
I got ignored at least four times last night when I waved and nodded. WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
