Cam Jones's progress - RIP

I have received a message from Patrick Jones asking if I could update you all on Cam's progress. I apologise if there is already another thread about this but could not find one.

The family today had a meeting with all the Medical Professionals that are currently caring for Cam: Patrick's message below.

Today the future for cam is a bit clearer. He is still in critical but stable condition. In the next few days changes to his treatment will lead to better estimate of his head injury and his ability to recover. But the current assessment is that he will have a very difficult recovery with a very high likelihood both his head and spinal injuries will remain severe. This is tough news for us all but miracles do happen so we will never stop our hope and prayer for cam.

dr's always give the worst news so heres hoping cams going to make a solid recovery my mate had a crash this time last year and now hes back to full health and we were told he wasnt going to make it so keep the faith up people cams young and i bet hes fighting his hardest

Cam had a huge accident in the 600 warm up lap at Levels on the weekend.

Actually it was in the tyre scrub on Sunday morning. Something caused his rear wheel to lock off the end of the straight and he ended up hitting the tyre wall.

Such a terrible thing to happen to such an awesome guy. Thoughts are with him and his family and all the best for his recovery.

Please guys just remember also Patrick is getting his head around this whole thing...patience grasshoppers. He has done so well to keep updates happening etc, he is also not in any position to comment on injuries or speculations. What does get released is a family decision.

there is an official protocol / process that is being followed TO THE LETTER ...... please all, lets put everything we have into supporting Cams family while they do what they can for him. There's some very special people all rooting for you Cam ..........

It's a tough time for a number of people out there, Cam and family, my thoughts are with you and I know you're a strong young lad with plenty of fight in you to tackle this the best you can.
I had the pleasure to spend a day and a half with Cam last year or so so got to see who he was a bit more than the race track 'hiya', cool chap is Cam.
