Changing the attachment of an old post?

    I'm maintaining this thread: http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/sh...-fuel-stations

Want to put a new file on the first post (to reflect some updates), but since the post is quite old, I don't have the option to edit the post.

Can I please? Or should I provide the attachment as only a mod can?

    for searching: Editting / editing

Attach it here and I'll see what I can do. The post is too old so only Mods can change it.

As this is something that does need to be kept upto date, perhaps it may be better to start a new thread with the same nam, upload a new attachement and put a reference to the old thread in the first post.

    Ta... attached.

The other option I guess (but not as tidy) is to post at the end, but then I can't mod the first post each time, to link to the post with the attachment...

    Thanks MT.

Jantar, probably make it a bit complex (because another year down the track I'll have the same issue), so easier to probably put it in a post near the end of the thread. When the next file is attached, I'll ask a mod to edit the first post, remove old attachments and simply put in bold to refer to end of thread for latest file...

having a quick squiz at the file, the 24hr stations in Christchurch need to be updated
Due to the quakes several no longer exist, and others are under rebuild.
It would be unfortunate for out of towner to rely upon this list when visiting Christchurch
A call to Christchurch members to update the list would be a very good Idea

Thanks Subike, I'll put that in the fuel station thread.

MT... that didn't take long. Can you please remove the attachments from post 1, and put a line at the bottom of the post to the effect (in bold): Please look at end of thread for latest file.
