For any such thing there is always an argument just as sound written by someone from the right. true, but at least there are scientists highlighting that those who are overconfident are thick and vote national because they know no better, or at least can't reason any further (especially if they were against asset sales and still vote national)... if that's the alternative I'd rather stay insecure.

Really? Can you support that position, or is it simply based on what you want things to be? Kind of like climate change. The evidence supporting the reality of climate change, and of the significance of the impact of human activity on that change is overwhelming, and despite there being no substantive arguments against that position, people still insist that it's a scam of some form. Why? I believe it's because they are scared that climate change will impact on their lifestyle, usually by making them pay more tax, so they are desperate to deny it and will believe any argument, regardless of how spurious that argument.

And from observing the KB messageboards, us lefties are definitely smarter than right whingers.

It's these fuckwits who encourage mass immigration of people from third world countries and having a pathetic criminal justice system that are contributing to the demise of NZ as we know it. Violent crime and theft is increasing, but are too dumb to see a problem that is right in front of them.
