    Hutt Riders

    Hello there people.
    I have me a CR250 I ain't used in a while... I know
Want to take it out, but before I go on any treks It'd be nice to test it's reliability (after sitting so long). As I'm not good enough with the duct-tape & pocket knife to MacGyver my way out of any problems when "out & about", What I'm wondering is there anywhere (preferably towards Upper Hutt) which is large & fun enough to piss round on the bike for awhile (testing it's reliability & getting used to it again) yet close enough to the van park that should things go wrong I can just walk it back???
    Any suggestions appreciated
    Cheers

Sounds tempting (as long as you don't mind an utter novice on a bike of unknown reliability) But is this day or night? I'm one of these mon-fri daytime workers

cool, don't feel you have to go bending over backward to accommodate me or nothing. But yea if your doing an after 1800 I'm keen to tag along, finally kick the spiders outta the engine & get the pistons moving again + it'll help to meet someone else with a dirt bike (partly one of the reasons it's been sitting). Never done much dirt (always loved it tho) so I got a bit of learning to do

Well the 12th feb there is a trail ride in J'vile so it isn't too far to drive.
If there is any rule for the inexperienced to keep in mind, it is that everything a reasonable, intelligent person should intuitively believe to be right will probably be totally wrong. Gordon Jennings June 1996; musing on airflow through a 4 stroke engine. . . . Damn fool things that they are.
