    Firestorm - Engine Oil?

Whats the best, locally available, engine oil for an 07 Firestorm. Manual says 10W30 - 10W40 and to stay away from things that have additives in them like graphite or molybdenum. I'm guesing that being in Auckland 10W-40 would be the way to go but Brand?

    Cheers

    The best would be (im)Mobil 1 4T.

Any modern motor oil would be fine. Oils after SG that are for modern motors won't have any of those pesky friction modifiers because they polute cats.

You need to be faily careful with one oil doing everything. Have heard too many stories of stuck clutch plates to mess about with alternatives. I use the Fully Synthetic Mobil 1 4T 15/50 Racing oil.

On the other hand, the mobil stuff is really pricey and I've heard nothing but good reports about the Motul 5100.

Just stick to what works for you

Gone with the Motul 5100. Bike shop only had Motul or Belray.

Funnily enough, had to go to Super Cheap for something today and noticed that they stock the castrol bike oils including the racing and power GPS

Run Motul 5100 myself in all my bikes for years... Never had to pull an engine apart, so it must be doing the trick. Frequent oil changes help too.

Yes, Supercheap do stock Castrol bike stuff... Funny, i run the Magnatech in all my vehicles, but never put Castrol in my bikes as I have never wanted to switch from Motul.
Team Air Force Racing thank , Racefairings ,Celtic Leathers, and Dunlop for their continued support for the PMCC.
