    Autopsy

Well I striped most of the engine today. Looks like the piston gave up. Or it could have been the pin. Anyway I now have the old engine in and ready to go racing. Also thanks to Boyle Kawasaki I have a new bottom end to build a new engine with. Crank is salvageable valves are bent. Barrel will need a re sleeve. It will be back better and faster than ever for the GP.

    BANG!!

Rich I reckon you should start developing a 2 stroke. I hear those things are getting 30hp haha. You do it first in Welly, tell me how to do it and I'll get one too.

Well I will be running a full faring with a big catch tray in the bottom so no others suffer when she looses her life's blood. I would expect it to go good as gold. We will have to wait and see.

Funny you should say that. Never had any valve guide seals so was running a little premix motul. Just not the kind you would be used it smelling.

Isn't there some rule about that sort of thing with "real" race bikes? It probably wouldn't hurt to encourage 4-stroke riders to put something in place. We could start with FXR riders. It may also be advantagious to have some sort of scatter shield or blanket like on drag race transmissions. Could be a use for old bullet-proof vests. I'd personally prefer to see something in 1/4" plate surrounding the bottom end and possibly filled with concrete.
