    DB1K - Dusty Butt 1000 2013

So when's it gonna be Ryan, huh, huh?

I'm planning my calender for next summer already seeing as I missed out on all the summer rides this year.

Bannockburn bike week has just been announced as Sunday, 27 January 2013 to Friday, 1 February 2013. I'm wondering if I can tie the 2 together.

NOT the weekend of 25 Jan. OK Ryan?

    Last 3 events have been 15/16/17 January 2010, 21/22/23 January 2011 and 20/21/22 January 2012.
I had imagined it would, or even should be 18/19/20 January 2013 in keeping that general timing...
...and that's if it doesn't become biennial (that's every second year) thus skip 2013 all together

Bloody hell - its 11 ish months away fellas!!!!

Doing a "gib off" renovation of 2/3rds of our house including new kitchen (Trademe is your friend - $500 including whiteware ) and new bathroom in the evenings while living at the Bro-in-laws. EQ damaged has made us get our arse into gear finally and no this work is not being paid for by your taxes - just a little bit of it

My bike hasn't been started since I stopped it in Fairlie after the 2012 DB1k and is currently buried under kitchen parts and other crap. Needs an oil change, rear indicator replaced (again) and some other tweaks.

I'm happy to set the date as soon as I can but need all the info I can around other events i.e. Yamaha Safari, Bannockburn bike week, whatever TimG is up too (?) . . . . Give me info and we'll get a date sorted. Probably aiming for mid Jan yet again though.

Be warned - the idea of a northern route is being discussed again.

    Cheers R

Bugger me guys, I've only just got the 640 repaired from this one (first ride last night), however I have a wedding to attend in Rangiora in January followed by 2 weeks campervanning in Central so the south sounds good to me......

As 2013 will be my first DB1000, having it one the South [in the summer??] is very appealing.

However, if it was in the North then there is a good chance that my second DB1000 will be in the South

I think the South Island for 2013 will be betterer....I just hope to be there
My DB training starts in earnest this weekend

I think "HOPE" the North end/top of the south Island was what was ment.
it was run up the top end a few years ago...
